Storyline

Greytail, previous elder of the Slough Creek pack --
"What was once a large park protected by man has long since been abandoned by them -- years have passed since the two legged were seen in these areas, and the generations born without the metal tracker reign supreme -- only the most elderly might recall the days of the humans. The project to sustain wildlife had been successful until the Great Earthquake. How the grounds trembled.. So terrifying that the Inn itself practically collapsed upon itself. I was but in my prime in those days as reigning Alpha of the Slough Creek pack and a pregnant mate. I do not understand their meaning of currency or trade, but a neighboring ally once mentioned they could not maintain the budget to repair the damage that had happened. It was just a swell.. we thrived regardless. Our young grew.. the herds populated. Yellowstone lived on, and in time, the roads began to grow over with foliage. If only man knew that life did not crumble without their presence.. only their buildings."

Setting

Secrets of Yellowstone is a semi-realistic wolf role-play based in the famous setting of Yellowstone National Park, in Wyoming, US. It is important to note that the game is merely based off the park itself, and might have user created landmarks, and even some landmarks not mentioned or moved to a different location, primarily for the sake of simplicity and game play.

Seasons
YoS has the four seasons found in main North America, from a cold and blustery winter that can drop to temperatures as low as −66 °F (−54 °C) and rise as high as 99 °F (37 °C) in the beautiful summer months. Each IC season will last roughly around 1 and a half OOC months, so be careful.. our characters will age generally quickly!

Travel
Yellowstone is exceptionally large, but for sake of gameplay, it can be said that a wolf can travel from one region (north, east, etc) to another within one day. That would mean a wolf travelling from North to South would take up to two days travel (as well as traveling home).
